Hosting & Server Logs
This website is served via Netlify. When you access the site, the hosting provider processes technical access data (e.g. IP address, date/time, page requested, user agent). This is necessary to deliver the site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Image Delivery (CDN)
We use Cloudinary to deliver images. In doing so, technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, browser data) is transmitted to the service in order to provide content efficiently.
Contact
If you contact us by email, we store your details in order to process your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
Live Chat – Crisp
For direct contact we offer a live chat provided by Crisp IM SAS, 2 boulevard de Launay, 44100 Nantes, France. Through this support channel you can easily send us a message. Crisp is a European provider and operates the service within the EU; the core service involves no transfer to a third country.
The live chat is technically necessary/functional for providing our support and communication offering and is therefore loaded without prior consent — unlike the consent-based services Mediavine/Grow and Google Analytics, which are only activated after you have given consent via the consent tool. To this end, Crisp sets first-party cookies and entries in your browser's local storage (localStorage, e.g. a "crisp-client" session identifier) in order to enable the chat session.
As soon as you actively use the chat, we and Crisp process the messages you send as well as technical data (session and visitor identifier, browser information) and — insofar as you provide them — voluntarily submitted contact details such as your name and email address.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a support and communication channel (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); if you actively contact us via the chat, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR also applies. For more information, see Crisp's privacy policy at crisp.chat/en/privacy/.
Cookies & Consent
We use technically necessary cookies to provide the website and to store your preferences (e.g. language and dark mode). In addition, our advertising partner Mediavine/Grow may set cookies and similar technologies for advertising and audience measurement purposes (see the "Advertising – Mediavine / Grow" section). For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, non-essential cookies are only set after you have given consent via the consent banner (consent tool). You can change or withdraw your consent there at any time with effect for the future (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Advertising – Mediavine / Grow
This site is partly financed through advertising. For this purpose we use the advertising and engagement technology "Grow" by Mediavine, Inc. (Mediavine), which is loaded from the domains grow.me and faves.grow.me.
When you visit our pages, Mediavine and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies and process personal data — in particular your IP address, device and browser information, approximate location, and information about your use of the website. This data is used to serve and measure advertisements and — depending on your consent — to display personalized advertising.
For users in the EEA and the United Kingdom, processing for advertising purposes takes place only on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can give, manage and withdraw at any time via the consent tool. Outside the EEA, processing may be based on a legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). As part of ad delivery, data may be transferred to advertising partners and to third countries — in particular the USA.
For more information on data processing by Mediavine/Grow, see Mediavine's Legal & Privacy Center at https://www.mediavine.com/privacy-policy/. You can also opt out of personalized advertising via the industry portals youronlinechoices.eu (EU) and optout.aboutads.info.
Web analytics – Google Analytics
To analyse website usage we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited. It is integrated via Cloudflare Zaraz; Google Analytics is only loaded and activated after you have given consent via the consent tool (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent there at any time with effect for the future.
Pseudonymised usage data is processed (e.g. truncated IP address, device and browser information, pages visited, approximate location). Google Analytics 4 truncates the IP address by default; we do not combine this data with other data. Data may be transferred to third countries — in particular the USA.
For more information, see Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can disable analytics at any time via the consent tool.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. You may also withdraw any consent given at any time, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Liability for Links
Our offer contains links to external third-party websites. The respective providers are responsible for their content. If we become aware of any legal violations, we will remove such links immediately.
